E-Lodging Industry Beckons New Entrepreneurs
Anonymous writes "
The e-lodging industry has moved from its early land-grab phase into an era of decentralization, stability and profitability. And many new entrepreneurs have heard it call their name.

There has never been a more exciting time to start an e-lodging business than now. Many online lodging agencies are springing up daily on the Internet. These provide e-consumers the ability to make online real-time reservations at hotels, resorts, apartments and hostels. The e-lodging agency operators earn a profit mark-up or commission fee on every booking.

Whether these new ventures are initiated by hotel reservation agents, event planners, Web designers, or hospitality industry executives starting home-based businesses, everyone is finding themselves caught up in the entrepreneurial spirit of the e-lodging industry. "

WHATS HAPPENING IN E-BUSINESS FOR STAFFORDSHIRE ?
Anonymous writes "The Innovation Management Centre has recently completed new research in conjunction with North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce into the effectiveness of web sites run by Staffordshire businesses. This report highlights many areas where local businesses can make just a few changes in their web sites to improve their performance.

The Innovation Management Centre aims to effectively disseminate the knowledge gained from this report by organising a seminar for local businesses to attend and discover ways in which they can improve their business prospects through effective use of their web sites.

To add value for the businesses attending this seminar, we are also inviting other parties who can offer different support services to come along and help to raise the awareness of the help local businesses have available to them.

The seminar is scheduled for 10am until 1pm, Thursday 5th September 2002 at Trentham Business Centre. If you would like to attend please complete the enclosed form and send it to myself or Sarah Wheeler at the Innovation Management Centre by Friday 30th August, or e-mail these details to [email protected]. If you have any further questions please contact myself or Sarah on 01782 865061.

A location map for the Trentham Business Centre is available on our website at www.innov.co.uk.

I hope you are available to join us and I look forward to hearing from you
