A collaboration of local business support has led to the successful launch to market of the Truxta Bendie EV 450, a battery-powered 4×4 Electric mini dumper by Leek based Tufftruk.

When the company first contacted the BIC, they were already manufacturing and selling their patented mini dumpers, but they wanted help to make an electric version that would make it lighter and easier to handle.

We were pleased to be able to help the company pay for CAD Designs to make a prototype and prove the concept of their idea together with some external consultancy advice on electrically powered products.

Tufftruck also worked with the SEND project via Keele University to prove environmental benefits and other local business support organisations for capital funding and the DIT on support to export.
